- Modern oenology has in Manuel Joaquim Pinto Wines a good field of testing and application,

and innovation is also a constant.

- The concept behind all the nectars in this Douro Vineyard Farm is the production of Great Wines.

  - Consensual in terms of organoleptic characteristics, they are suitable for good aging... for many years.

It is in the Douro Superior Region, in the cradle of the most famous wines in the world, that Quinta de Vila Maior is located.

With a total of 75 ha, 35 are from Vineyards, 30 from Olive Groves and the rest include the Winery with Granite Presses,

Hull Warehouses and other facilities such as the Office, Analysis Laboratory, Orchards and Leisure Zones.

“The beauty of the Douro and how much we are connected to it, through affection and family, made us move towards an intense work of restoration of the legacy left by my grandfather, Manuel Joaquim Pinto.

At the end of the 19th century, their Port wines made long journeys to Gaia,

from where they were shipped to the four corners of the world.

The rise of Douro Table Wine, associated with the enormous potential existing in the Douro Superior Sub-Region,

made us believe that we could, with the grapes from our vineyards, produce Nectars of Election.

Thanks to phenomenal teamwork, we can say we were right.

We are, at the same time, aware that, in wines, there is always a lot to be done.”
