Encosta do Vale Galego is the realization of the long-standing dream of a family that wanted to

cultivate and produce high quality wine based on traditional cultivation techniques.

Produced in the region of Pafarrão, a small village on the southern slope of the Serra de Aire, Encosta do Vale Galego

is the result of careful shaping of soils suitable for fruit cultivation which, combined with a particular microclimate,

allow an excellent maturation of the grape varieties.

Launched in 2007 and -since then- regularly awarded nationally and internationally,

Encosta do Vale Galego has an intense color and fruity aroma.

Encosta do Vale Galego is excellent with meat, fish or cheese. 

The new symbol of Adega M.Cordeiro is based on the history of the name “Pafarrão”, which -says who knows- derives

from a designation used by pre-Roman tribes that inhabited the place and means “House of Falcons”.

The village of Pafarrão was built on the slope of the rocky area of the Serra d'Aire, a place where the falcons also

chose as habitat, due to the richness of food and for being ideal for their nests.

And it will not be a coincidence if some of you also recognize the figure of a Templar...
