Joaquim Costa Vargas - Pure Alentejo

- Joaquim Costa Vargas Wines come from their own vineyards;

- Specifically from Herdade das Assentas de Baixo, with 250 ha

and located between Cuba and Alvito and integrated in the Vidigueira Demarcated Region.

- The Agricultural Project, in addition to Wines, integrates the production of Sheep,

Bovine and Black Pork, under an extensive regime.

- The vineyards occupy about 18 há of the estate.

- The dominant Red Varieties occupy 80% of this area, and the Regional Varieties Trincadeira and Aragonês

can also be found, in addition to Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet and Syrah.

- Antão Vaz predominates in the White Varieties, but there is also “Roupeiro”.

- The privilege of quality over quality allows us to always obtain the best grapes.

- In the harvest -manual- 12 kg boxes are used until arriving at the winery to avoid crushing the grapes.

- At the Cellar, Old Knowledge is combined with Modern Winemaking Techniques, which:

• In the case of Reds, originates Soft and Fruity Wines, with Balanced Acidity

and notes of Red Fruits, Jams and Spices;

• As far as White Wines are concerned, citrus color, correct acidity, freshness

and intense aroma with tropical notes emerge
